I work with both hedgers and speculators regardless of their location, risk tolerance, or account size. I use a combination of technical and fundamental analysis when trading. We clear our trades through RJO’Brien, which enables me to trade on multiple exchanges, including, CBOT, CME, COMEX, ICE, and NYMEX. I take a conservative approach to the marketplace and frequently use protective stops.

Research Analyst

In addition to providing bi-monthly newsletters, I can work on projects for you or your company. I pride myself on being intimately familiar with USDA data and databases. If you have a data-mining project or simply need a chart for a presentation I can provide it.

Hedging and Risk Management

I can develop custom risk management plans suited to your operation and risk-tolerance. I am very well-versed in futures and options trading. I am more than happy to track your hedge P/L on a lot-by-lot basis, provide closeouts, and communicate with your banker or feedyard managers. My clients include stockers, cattle feeders, and farmers. I am intimately familiar with the Live Cattle, Feeder Cattle, Lean Hog, Cotton, Corn, and Soybean futures markets. 

Education and Speaking

Trading and teaching go hand in hand. Risk management is often difficult to understand, and the futures market is daunting. If you are new to trading, that is not a problem: I always educate my clients on the tools available to them and how to best apply them.
